Phones @ Work: Local Wally World – Not Using Cisco!

This was taken at the local Super Wally World. Many locations have since gone to Cisco as early as 2007 and as late as 2008. But this location for whatever reason is still using a Merlin Legend KSU. I spotted the phone, just as I heard the Partner-like ring. Despite the look of an 8400 Series, these Multi Line EXtension, or MLX series sets, they are not compatible with larger or smaller systems. Even more bizarre, the MLX sets are not compatible with later versions of the Merlin Magix. Despite an End of Sale dating back 9 years ago with an attempt by salesforce to migrate to IP Office, Legend and Magix systems still have a healthy install base. And apparently a few Wally World stores still use ’em.
